SUMMARY:MIB- Data-Driven Compliance - Data-Driven Compliance - Leveraging New Contributory Industry Data to Detect Agent Behavior Patterns
DESCRIPTION:Data-Driven Compliance – Leveraging New Contributory Industry Data to Detect Agent Behavior Patterns \nFraud and misrepresentation pose a significant financial burden on the insurance industry.  When adding up the cost of extra commissions\, excess mortality experience\, and the potential for fines in the case of adverse agent behavior – insurers can quickly see how costly anti-selective behavior can be. \nA recent analysis of data in the MIB In Force Data Vault – the industry’s first contributory database with applicant-level in force\, applied for and terminated policy data – augmented by interviews with industry experts\, provides insights into the impact of anti-selective behavior on the life insurance industry.  Christie Corado and Trey Robinson shared details about the impact of adverse agent practices\, such as stacking and churning\, and understand tools available to spot these behavior patterns – both during the underwriting process and by compliance post-issue. \nPresentation | Recording

This is especially true when life insurance companies begin integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into their operations. Compliance plays a critical role in this process\, but what exactly does that role look like? Is compliance simply the “gatekeeper\,” or is it a hands-on participant in AI-driven innovation? Join a panel of compliance experts as they explore how AI is reshaping their responsibilities\, expanding their workload\, and influencing governance frameworks that support these cutting-edge initiatives. Get a deeper understanding of where compliance fits in the AI landscape—and how it’s evolving to keep pace with new technology.\nPresentation\n\n\nFraud Identification\, Investigation & Reporting\nWhile Greek philosopher Sophocles wisely stated\, “Rather fail with honor than succeed by fraud\,” fraudsters clearly have a different perspective.  The rapid increase in fraudulent attempts and the ingenuity of fraudsters have compelled life insurance fraud professionals to constantly improve their programs\, refine their controls\, and adapt their approaches.  Join a panel of experts as they discuss current trends\, the role of technology\, and best practices for managing the investigation and reporting process.\nPresentation\n\n\nMarket Analysis & Examination Management\n“Trust but verify” captures the essence of a compliance oversight program and serves as the cornerstone of regulatory market analysis and examination processes.  As regulations evolve\, technology advances\, and regulatory expectations shift\, compliance professionals must adapt their approaches to effectively manage market analysis requests and examination processes.  Join a panel of experts as they discuss current trends\, management strategies\, and how companies can leverage insights gained from market conduct examinations.\nPresentation
