Insurance fraud costs U.S. consumers and businesses $308.6 billion a year and a whopping $74.7 billion of that amount pertains to life insurance fraud.

CEFLI welcomed Matthew Smith, Executive Director for the Coalition Against Insurance Fraud, to hear a presentation regarding key findings from the Coalition’s recent study “The Impact of Insurance Fraud on the U.S. Economy,” the first update regarding the cost of insurance fraud on the U.S. Economy in 27 years.
